"God has willed that we should seek and find His living Word in the witness of a brother, in the mouth of man. Therefore, the Christian needs another Christian who speaks God's Word to him. He needs him again and again when he becomes uncertain and discouraged, for by himself he cannot help himself without belying the truth. He needs his brother man as a bearer and proclaimer of the divine word of salvation. He needs his brother solely because of Jesus Christ. The Christ in his own heart is weaker than the Christ in the word of his brother; his own heart is uncertain, his brother's is sure."

 ~ Bonhoeffer

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us.

Workshop Speakers

Andrew Peterson

Andrew is Lead Pastor of CityVision Church, a three month old church plant in Uptown/St. Louis Park. Andrew is passionate about declaring the Word of God and seeing God’s kingdom advanced through the establishment and multiplication of the local church. On any given day, Andrew can be found making lattes at Caribou Coffee, paying the bills and planting gospel seeds in his community. Andrew and his wife Brittany love their kids, family, friends, neighborhood, baseball, nachos, and TV.

Cor Chmieleski

Cor is the Senior Associate Pastor at Hope Community Church. He is married to Jill – the woman of his dreams, and is the father of two wonderful sons. He graduated from Mounds View High School, the University of Minnesota (Mathematics), and Bethel Seminary (M. Div.). He enjoys football, basketball, softball, and golf. His TSM (toughest sports moment) came during his senior year of high school. Cor was in position to win a BIG basketball game for the Mustangs. It was the region final and Mounds View was playing Blaine for a chance to go to the state tournament. With 2.2 seconds left in the game and the score tied, Cor had two free throws to win the game. Well, he missed both and the Mustangs lost in overtime. He only redeemed himself years later when he married his wife (MVP of the State Champion Rosemount Danceline).

   “The Missional Man"

This breakout will focus on what it means to be a missional man. Men on Mission are followers of Jesus and consider the call for what it will take to build a ministry that thrives and not just survives.

What is the mission of God (missio dei)?

What is the cost of mission (missio sumptus)?

How does the mission begin (imago dei)?

Is there more than one way to be on mission (missio multi)?

How do we get everyone on mission (missio civitas)?
